About Us

Our international team has vast experience in their specialised areas ranging from stress education, stress management, mediation consultation and stress coaching. We strive to provide a complete package to support and improve not only physical and psychological health of all employees and employers but also the financial health of our workplaces.  We inform, educate and train in corporate and private locations and in group and/or one-on-one sessions.

By delivering the facts and figures, our goal is to drive the conversation about stress related illness and psychsocial risks in the workplace. We do this by contributing to the European Union’s 3rd Health Programme 2014 - 2020 and the EU calls “for investing in people’s health" and “for spending smarter but not necessarily more in sustainable health systems”.

We advise, support, inform, educate and train management and staff in the prevention and management of stress related illness and psychological risks in the workplace; with the purpose of creating healthier workplaces and a better quality of life for all.

What we do

  • Our education programme, stress management training and workshops are for everyone. In this view we appreciate that stress is personal and that some areas of our programmes may touch on sensitive personal issues. We understand that everyone deserves privacy and confidentiality. We adhere to all privacy laws and regulations. We are also bound by a code of ethics and confidentiality. We keep everything confidential.
  • We value our clients and work very closely with them; we put a lot of time and effort in gaining their trust.
  • We do the research on what works and what does not work.
  • We constantly update and adjust our health programmes so that we can deliver the best programmes for our clients.

What we don’t do

  • As we are bound by a code of ethics and confidentiality, we will never ask for testimonials for our website.

Our Team Leader

Joan Maycock - MSc Health Psychologist, Consultant, Researcher, Trainer and Programme Developer.

With a background in finance and EU Project Management, Joan qualified as a Professional Psychosocial Therapist in The Netherlands. This study was a combination of Stress Management, Counselling, General, and Clinical Psychology, Psychopathology, Coaching, Conflict Mediation and Crisis Management. She continued her education in psychology and achieved her MSc Health Psychology with Distinction (phase 1) from the University of Ulster, England. This study linked the mind and body.

Joan is an experienced counsellor in her own practise as well as working with associates on stress related health programmes and writing, developing and presenting Stress Management Training for businesses. She has worked with several organisations; mediation groups, the homeless, victim support, suicide prevention and with school children with behavioural problems. Her toolbox is large, containing a variety of methods, models and techniques such as Counselling, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Thinking Styles, General, Clinical and Health Psychology, Transactional Analyse, Rational Emotive Therapy, Stress Management, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

With her finger on the pulse of work-related stress illnesses in European workplaces and an understanding of the European Union’s 3rd Health Programme 2014–2020 “for investing in people’s health and “for spending smarter but not necessarily more in sustainable health systems”, Joan's focus is now on writing and developing evidence based interactive Stress Education Programmes for the workplace. These programmes are designed to get everyone thinking about how to reduce, prevent and manage stress related illness, psychosocial risks, anxiety and depression in the workplace. Results are important so research methods to test the efficacy of all our health programmes are being developed. Joan is passionate to promote healthy workplaces through informing, educating and training directors, managers and staff on how to recognise individual stressors, be aware of physical and emotional signs of stressors, reduce psychosocial risks and cope better to improve their mental and physical health.

Associate: Christine Goddard -  Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
